As in previous vintages, the featured vineyards are Sleepy Hollow and Lucia Highlands, both highly prized properties in Monterey County. In additions, a small amount of fruit is from Santa Rita Hills - cuttings from this vineyard were brought from one of the most highly prized vineyards in Cote d'Or in Burgundy.
This Pinot shows tremendous depth of varietal character and superb age ability. The aromas and flavors are redolent of ripe Pinot fruit while the palate is rich, focused and the epitome of regional characteristics. Approachable now, but we strongly urge you to keep in the cellar a few more months. Another 8 to 10 years will reward you greatly.
